Commercial Drone Inspection Services

NC4 Vertical provides commercial drone inspection services for buildings, infrastructure and difficult or restricted-access environments. Our unmanned systems capture high-resolution visual and thermal data while reducing the need for scaffolding, MEWPs, rope access and personnel entering hazardous locations.

Enhanced Safety

PDRA 01 Authorisation

  • Reduce the need for work at height and confined-space entry – Capture inspection data without routinely requiring scaffolding, ladders, MEWPs, rope access or personnel entering restricted spaces.
  • Keep personnel away from hazards – Reduce exposure of staff, contractors and the public to potentially hazardous inspection environments.
  • Access difficult or hazardous locations – Capture detailed imagery from rooftops, towers, façades, structures and other areas where conventional access may be difficult.
  • Inspect ageing or potentially unstable structures – Obtain close-range visual data without unnecessarily placing personnel close to compromised infrastructure.
  • Support safer inspection planning – Provide visual and thermal information that can help asset owners and contractors assess condition and plan subsequent access, maintenance or specialist inspection.
  • CAA Operational Authorisation – NC4 Vertical holds a UK CAA Operational Authorisation for PDRA-01 operations, enabling appropriately planned UAS operations under defined conditions beyond those available in the Open Category.

Drone and landing pad

  • Minimise downtime and site disruption – Inspections can often be completed while normal site activities continue, subject to operational and safety requirements.
  • Fast deployment and efficient data capture – UAS operations can be planned around short access windows, off-peak periods or other site constraints.
  • Reduce reliance on access equipment – Where appropriate, drone inspection can reduce the requirement for scaffolding, MEWPs and rigging, limiting disruption to the site and surrounding operations.
  • Low-impact inspection – Small unmanned aircraft can capture detailed data with a relatively small operational footprint compared with many conventional access methods.

Efficient Data Capture

Drone mission planning summary

  • Save time and resources – Capture data across large, complex or difficult-to-access structures efficiently, reducing reliance on conventional access methods.
  • Collect precise, georeferenced data – High-resolution visual and thermal imagery, mapping and 3D models can support asset management, defect assessment and detailed reporting.
  • Rapid delivery of usable data – High-resolution imagery, video, thermal and other sensor data can be processed and delivered in formats suited to the client's requirements.
  • Repeatable data capture – Repeat planned flights and capture methods to monitor condition, construction progress or change over time.
  • Clear visual documentation – Create a permanent visual record for asset management, maintenance planning, contractor engagement, insurance evidence and before-and-after comparison.
